Genetic Banking: Keep Your Best Cultivar Safe, and Clean
Your top-performing plant is an asset. We take it into tissue culture, clean it, verify it and keep it in vitro under active conservation, so you can order mother plants from it whenever you need and never lose it to a pest, a power cut or a bad season.
Who It Is For
Growers with a proprietary cultivar they cannot afford to lose. Breeders who want a clean, stable reference copy. Producers rebuilding after an HLVd outbreak who need their own genetics back, without the viroid.
The cultivar stays yours. We work under a confidentiality agreement and no third party has access to your material.
Cleaning
Shoot-tip or meristem culture, chosen from the entry test, with clean-up cycles where needed and a final qPCR panel to confirm.
Conservation
Active conservation in vitro: regular subculture keeps the line ready to multiply, root and acclimatise.
Mother plants
Mother plants on demand, in the vessel or acclimatised in substrate. You take your own cuttings.
How It Works
Five steps, one conversation to start. Establishment takes six to ten months depending on the technique and the cultivar; we confirm the timeline after the entry test.

01.
Initiation
- You send cuttings, or we collect them
- Entry test (qPCR panel) and plant history sheet decide the technique
- Shoot-tip or meristem culture, sterilisation and establishment
- Batch reference assigned to your cultivar
02.
Cleaning
- Clean-up cycles repeated until the material tests clean
- Viroids, viruses, bacteria and fungi targeted in the same process
- Protocols adapted to the condition of your cultivar
- Cleaning is part of the introduction, whatever technique it takes

03.
Testing
- qPCR panel of 14 pathogens (HLVd, viruses, fungi) at entry and at release
- Bacterial and fungal indexing in liquid medium at initiation
- Analysis carried out by certified external laboratories
- Release certificate and reports shared with you
04.
Conservation
- Active conservation: subcultured on a regular cycle, never left idle
- Sealed vessels, so clean material cannot be recontaminated
- Multiplication, rooting and acclimatisation stay homogeneous
- Your cultivar, your ownership, under agreement

05.
Multiplication & delivery
- Mother plants to order, from the bank
- In the vessel, or acclimatised in the substrate you choose
- Around 14 days to acclimatise, with a written protocol
- Vessels shipped in racks that immobilise them; acclimatised plants delivered in person
